Quick Holiday Absence Note
What I almost forgot in the midst of Christmas and post-Christmas business:

cavendish and I will be making a brief holiday trip to London from January 2 to January 6. So if any of you London-based folks would love to meet up with us while we are there, just yell ;-)

Consider this a yell...

I'll be working starting in the 2nd (And I need to, too), but I'm right on top of Haymarket, 3 minutes walk to Piccadilly circus. We can meet up before work, in between work ("lunch"), or after work (likely not for very long, need to work the next day, too).

Just fit me into your schedule & I'll send you my work details when I'm back in the office. :)

Between work or after work sounds just fine :-)

I'll give you a ring once we're in town and somewhat more organized ;-)

Yelling here... I can manage January 4 during the day if you'd like to meet up then. It would be lovely to see you both again.

January 4 would be great!

As I really enjoyed the way we met up the last time, at the Imperial War Museum: Is there any particular museum or exhibition, garden, historical site, etc. that you would love to visit?

Knowing Cavendish and myself I think it's safe to say that we'd gladly join you, regardless whatever your pick :-)

(Especially as we haven't made any more concrete "sightseeing plans" yet.. ;-))

Well, I seem to remember last time that we originally thought of going to Sir John Soane's Museum, but it was shut. I've still never been there and would love to go, but if you and Cavendish would like to go somewhere else I'll be perfectly happy with that. It will be lovely to see you again whatever we do :)

I just checked out their website and apparently they'll be open from 10-5pm on that day. So Sir John Soane's Museum it is! :-)

And just in case we are still in "museum mood" after that, there is also the Hunterian Museum relatively close by (provided the exhibited items there aren't too macabre for your liking ;-))

What would be a convenient time for you to meet up with us?

I can do any time that day after 10.30am so it's really what's convenient for you. 11.30am would allow me plenty of time to get up there if there's a big ticket queue at my station, but I could be a little earlier or make it the afternoon.

The Hunterian Museum sounds fascinating and I approve of the name *g*.

11.30am in front of Sir John Soane's sounds perfect! I'm so looking forward to this :-)

Me too! It will be lovely to see you both again.

If there's any kind of problem my phone number is 020 8655 1987 but otherwise I will see you on Friday 4th Jan at 11.30 outside Sir John Soane's Museum :)

Travel safely!
