The effects of revisiting DS9...
Watching an episode of Star Trek: DS9 every evening for the past couple of weeks apparently has had its consequences. For the first time in a long while I sat down and wrote a bit of fan fiction. About 850 words. A brief glimpse at Julian Bashir right after the "In Purgatory's Shadow /By Inferno's Light" two-parter.

Now I'm wondering. Would anyone out there be willing to have a look and do a quick beta?

I'd be happy to do a Beta for you -- I'm a die-hard DS9 fan (with a deep and abiding love for Julian "Our Man" Bashir), and an obsessive-compulsive proof-reader, if that'd be helpful.

Aw, thank you! :-)

Absolutely. I can't tell you how much I've profited and learned over the years, thanks to thorough proof-readers, especially as English isn't my first language.

How would you like to receive the file? Just let me know your e-mail address, and I'll send it to you either as *.doc or *.rtf.

Please send as an .rtf file to revdorothyl @ gmail.com (taking out the extra spaces in the email address).

I refused to buy MS Office for my home computer, since most of it is stuff I'll never use, and therefore Rich Text Format files are the safest bet (I can open them and work on them at home as well as here in the office).

Just sent you the ficlet as an *.rtf file.

I can easily see where you're coming from. I'm not exactly the biggest fan of MS office myself, but never got around to installing one of the available alternatives. My husband, though, is a big advocate of Open Office, which runs on his PC much faster and more smoothly than MS Office ever did.

I can't wait to read it! I play Julian in an rpg, but don't read my profile because there are spoilers afoot if you haven't finished the series. My other profile is jonnycarnahan.

Love your "Our Man Bashir" icon! Any chance that it's shareable?

*blushes* I LOVE this icon and cannot find the artist to credit them. Anyone? Anyone?
